Client Services

Our Objective

We are a "hands-on" law firm, and aim to unburden our clients from the lengthy paperwork process required for an international adoption. You do not build your own dossier - we do all the work for you. This also ensures that the paperwork is done correctly and your case moves forward efficiently and as quickly as possible.

List of Services

The law firm's services cover every aspect of representing and assisting prospective adoptive parents through the international adoption process, including the following:

  • Preparation and filing of INS documents (in the U.S. and country of adoption.)
  • Preparation of legal documents (domestic and foreign)
  • Preparation of 4 sets of Adoptive Parents' dossier, of which 2 sets will be prepared with all required levels of authentication of each document - one for the foreign agency and the other for the adoptive parents (also the "back-up" copy).
  • Interface with INS, foreign agencies, American and Romanian Embassies and local, state and federal government bureaus.
  • Coordination and communication with the foreign agency for updated information about the child and tracking of adoption case abroad.
  • Assistance with travel arrangements and preparations.
  • Arrangement of travel escort in foreign country for finalization of adoption. (Attorney may be available to personally escort client(s) to the foreign country and through final processing procedures.)
  • Re-Adoption in the U.S. for residents of South Florida. For non-residents of South Florida, Law Firm will coordinate with clients' local attorney to provide the necessary documentation and information for U.S. re-adoption proceedings.
  • Assistance with naturalization and citizenship services for adopted child.

If you have not already begun a home study, we can also provide you with several referrals of licensed home study providers in your area.

Communication and Attorney-Client Relationship

We prioritize frequent 2-way communication with our clients. We contact our clients often to inform them about the progress of their case, and we are available to answer questions and discuss issues. We enjoy talking with our clients and extending the compassion and support that is so necessary to get through the international adoption journey.

"Back-Up" Opportunity

In the unfortunate event that the country of adoption places a moratorium on international adoption, the law firm will re-direct its services toward an adoption from another country after discussion with and approval from the client(s).
